Job Description

The Human Resources Assistant supports day-to-day HR operations. The ideal applicant possesses the confidence to enforce quality control, accuracy, and compliance. They will be essential in implementing new policies and procedures.
 
Duties & Responsibilities
 

  • Act as the liaison between employees and HR team
  • Ensure that employee needs are met
  • Respond to employee and supervisor inquiries on company policies and procedures
  • Assist with employee on and off-boarding
  • Assist in writing job descriptions, posting ads and sourcing candidates for open internal roles
  • Administer and grade any necessary testing of potential new-hires
  • Assist payroll using ADP
  • Document grievances, terminations, absences, performance reports, and compensation & benefits information
 
Skills & Qualifications
 
  • Basic knowledge of CA and federal labor laws
  • Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality
  • Skilled in organizing and prioritizing tasks
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Familiarity with ADP Payroll/Paychex preferred, but not required
  • High School Diploma required
  • College degree preferred, but not required
  • HR Certifications preferred, but not required
  • 1+ year of experience in an HR role
