Job Description

We are currently seeking a Wealth Advisor for a financial institution located in Hawthorne, CA. This position is 100% onsite and will act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients who will help uncover financial needs.

Duties:

  • Calls clients and prospects and makes appointments for the Wealth Advisor.
  • Responsible for ongoing report preparation for client reviews, prospect appointments, and Wealth Advisor call or activity lists
  • Supports Wealth Advisor with branch meetings and training initiatives, including providing ongoing training to existing and new staff of the financial institution.
  • Prospects for clients on a referral basis within clearly defined markets as directed by the Wealth Advisor and Advisor Development Manager
  • Prospects for clients on lists compiled to target high net worth members and review expiring certificates to generate additional prospects and opportunities.
  • Performs administrative duties for Wealth Advisor, which may include monitoring assigned Wealth Advisors' emails and voicemails for follow up items and maintaining calendar for Wealth Advisor.
  • Follows up with attendees and RSVPs from events, including seminars, workshops, client appreciation events, etc.
  • Develops and maintains long-term relationships with clients for both themselves and the greater Wealth Advisor's 'team'
  • Assists in training, developing, and educating the Member Contact Center, MRO team, and Retail Delivery teams on how to identify successful referral opportunities.
  • Identifies opportunities to refer members back to the retail and lending teams to meet borrowing, deposit, and transactional needs with the goal of holistically improving members' lives.
  • Listens effectively and empathetically to Wealth Advisor, credit union staff, prospects, and clients; gathering facts, making written notes when appropriate, and analyzing total needs of the member, prospect, client, or Wealth Advisor, or staff.
  • Works closely with other administrative personnel and assistants to build program.
  • May be required to work to objectively measured goals or activities; such as a required number of appointments per week, number of outbound calls on leads, or a specific workflow process for a task (such as the coordination of events)

Requirements:

  • FINRA Series 7, 63 and 65/66 required; CFP preferred.
  • Must have minimum 3 years working in an Advisory Role.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial industry.
    • Prior knowledge and use of financial planning software (Moneyguide Pro).
    • Understands and can articulate financial planning concepts in the areas of retirement planning, estate planning, insurance, tax planning and charitable giving
  • Working knowledge of the financial markets and taxation of investments.
  • Well-developed time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
