Essential Functions:

  • Creates and enforces quality management policies, practices, and procedures, reporting on the performance of the quality system for review and as a basis for improvement of the quality system.
  • Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service; investigate any customer issues and complaints relating to quality.
  • Oversee inspection activity for product throughout production cycle, supervising workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure adherence to established SOP's, high productivity and high technical integrity.
  • Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and to establish quality and reliability expectancy of finished products.
  • Review, create and maintain Certificates of Conformance, Customer Materials Testing requirements, and all other related required customer documentation.
  • Interface with appropriate personnel regarding nonconforming product, product quality and compliance, process compliance, and document and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Conduct established testing procedures on products and optimize formulations through testing of raw materials.
  • Formulate, document and maintain quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives.
  • Coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with the plant manager to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
  • Create, document and implement inspection criteria and procedures.
  • Prepare monthly reports to be presented to executive management for periodic review.
  • Interpret quality control philosophy to key personnel within company.
  • Maintain active role on internal continuous improvement teams.
  • Design, develop and implement quality control training programs.
  • Punctuality and regular attendance are required as per company policy.
  • Must perform other duties as needed and requested by the management.

Required Education and/or Experience/Training:

  • Bachelors' degree in technical discipline or equivalent work experience/education combination.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years basic Quality Control experience within a manufacturing environment required.
  • Minimum of 5 years Quality Control supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment required.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with ISO 9001:2015 compliance, implementation and auditing techniques preferred.
  • Ideal candidate will have completed Lean Manufacturing Certification or trainings completed (Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control.

Work Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to noise, moving mechanical parts and will work in a non-controlled climate environment.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs.
