A leading medical device manufacturer is seeking an Assembly Technician for their production team that is seeing massive growth!

As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling and manufacturing electronic and mechanical components to create finished products. You will work with various tools, equipment, and materials to ensure the quality and functionality of the final product.

  • On-site, temp to hire role
  • Monday - Friday - 6:00am to 2:30pm or 6:45am to 3:15pm
  • Location: Irvine, CA (Spectrum)
  • Pay: $19-$23 an hour

Key Responsibilities of an Assembly Technician:

  • Perform the assembly and production of devices according to standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality standards.
  • Prepare components and materials needed for assembly, including cleaning, sterilization, and inspection to ensure quality and compliance with regulations.
  • Conduct quality control checks throughout the assembly process.
  • Perform functional testing, visual inspection, and final inspection of assembled devices
  • Troubleshoot equipment and assembly issues, identify root causes of problems, and implement corrective actions to ensure continuous production flow.
  • Maintain accurate records of assembly activities, including batch records, production logs, inspection reports, and non-conformance records.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to optimize assembly processes, enhance efficiency, and minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality assurance, and production, to address technical issues, share best practices, and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements of an Assembly Technician:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two to five years of medical device or electronics assembly
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to utilize torque wrench, micrometers, calipers, basic tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers and power drills
  • Must be familiar with FDA/GMP regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions and technical drawings
