Job Description

Performs Human Resources Related duties at the administrative level and may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: payroll, benefits, employee relations, new hire orientation, employment, labor relations, workers compensation, unemployment, leave administration. The Human Resources Assistance is responsible for carrying out a variety of duties including but not limited to those listed below:

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Assist with employee on-boarding and off-boarding.
Perform HRIS data entry and personnel file maintenance.
Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (training, performance management, disciplinary action, etc.).
Assist with LOA management (FMLA, CFRA, PDL, etc.) and ADA accommodations.
Assist with EEO reporting.
Assist HR Manager with projects.
Respond to employee and supervisor inquiries on HR policies and procedures.
Maintain high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and information.
Make photocopies; mail, scan and email documents; and perform other clerical functions.
Process mail.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Basic knowledge of CA and federal labor laws.
Interpersonal and communication skills that establish rapport, trust, confidence and credibility.
Honesty, integrity and professionalism.
Customer service orientation.
Highly organized, able to multi-task, and great attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
Work well under tight deadlines.
Previous human resources experience is preferred.
