Job Overview: As the R&D Manager in the baking industry, you will be responsible for leading research and development activities aimed at innovating and improving baking processes, products, and technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive product development, quality enhancement, and cost optimization initiatives while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and customer expectations. This role demands strong leadership, technical expertise, and a passion for driving innovation in the baking sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning: Develop and execute R&D strategies aligned with organizational goals and market trends to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge in the baking industry.Product Development: Lead the development of new baking products, formulations, and recipes by leveraging market insights, consumer preferences, and technological advancements.Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for optimizing baking processes, equipment, and technologies to enhance efficiency, quality, and sustainability.Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain rigorous quality standards for raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer specifications.Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, operations, procurement, and sales to align R&D initiatives with business objectives and customer needs.Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of scientists, technicians, and specialists to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.Budget Management: Manage R&D budgets effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to support project priorities and deliverables.Project Management: Oversee multiple R&D projects simultaneously, from concept to commercialization, ensuring timelines, milestones, and deliverables are met.Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of industry regulations, standards, and best practices to ensure all R&D activities comply with relevant food safety and quality regulations.Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, consumer preferences, and opportunities for new product development or differentiation.Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Baking Technology, or a related field. PhD preferred.Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in R&D roles within the baking industry, with a track record of successful product development and innovation.Strong technical expertise in baking processes, ingredients, formulations, and food chemistry.Proven leadership skills with experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage resources effectively.Knowledge of food safety regulations, quality assurance standards, and industry best practices.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels of the organization.Creative problem-solving abilities and a passion for driving innovation and continuous improvement in the baking industry
