Job Description

Local company is seeking an Purchasing Assistant on a temporary to hire basis. This person will be responsible for supporting Account Managers and build vendor/customer relationships.

Duties include:

  • Sourcing and negotiating with vendors
  • Generate quotes and sales orders
  • Review and understand contracts
  • Enter, update and maintain customer database

Job Requirements

Strong communication-written and verbal
Comfortable with making outbound calls
Ability to read purchase orders
Type 45 wpm
Strong Microsoft Office including Excel
