Mechanical & Electrical Assembler (Custom Equipment)

Overview
We're seeking a skilled Mechanical & Electrical Assembler to support the build and integration of large-scale industrial extraction and processing systems. This is not an assembly-line position - it's a hands-on, custom equipment build role that combines mechanical assembly, wiring, and system integration within a project-based manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble large custom extraction systems, including frames, piping, pressure vessels, and process equipment
- Perform mechanical layout, component installation, and alignment using blueprints and engineering drawings
- Build and wire electrical control panels, conduit, and harnesses per schematics
- Integrate automation components such as sensors, motors, and PLC interfaces
- Support system testing, troubleshooting, and startup preparation
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment safely and efficiently
- Collaborate closely with engineering, fabrication, and controls teams to ensure system quality and accuracy
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety and compliance standards
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical or electrical assembly of industrial equipment (non-assembly line)
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and work instructions
- Proficiency with basic hand tools, torque tools, and measurement equipment
- Familiarity with control panels, automation systems, or process piping preferred
- Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work with large machinery or skids
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred
