Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Auto Underwriter to join their client's amazing team in Texas. This is an excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable insurance professional who enjoys balancing analytical precision with strong client relationships in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, analyze, and underwrite new and renewal commercial auto business in accordance with company guidelines and profitability goals.
• Assess risk exposure, determine appropriate pricing, and make sound underwriting decisions.
• Build and maintain relationships with agents and brokers to encourage profitable growth and retention.
• Review policy terms, coverage options, and endorsements to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
• Monitor market trends and contribute to product development and strategic planning.
• Mentor and support junior underwriting staff when needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial auto underwriting experience required.
• In-depth knowledge of underwriting principles, rating methodologies, and industry regulations.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Proficiency with underwriting systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred; professional designations (CPCU, AU, etc.) a plus.

Required Work Hours

Monday - Friday, 1st Shift

Additional Details

Salary Range: $55,000 - $70,000 per year
