Position: Maintenance Mechanic Level II

Location: Clackamas, OR

Pay: $30/hr-$40/hr

Type: Full-Time | Direct-Hire | On-Site

Position Overview:

We're assisting a local manufacturer in seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to perform routine and complex repair, modification, and preventive maintenance tasks across facilities, equipment, and systems. This role involves troubleshooting and maintaining plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems, and supporting various maintenance-related operations.

Experience with CNC mills, lathes, press brakes, and/or industrial robots is highly sought after.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safe work practices at all times
  • Troubleshoot and repair facility systems and equipment
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance (lubrication, cleaning, filter changes)
  • Assist with complex mechanical repairs and root cause analysis
  • Operate standard hand and power tools
  • Support equipment and furniture movement
  • Install minor modifications and perform basic carpentry/painting
  • Participate in safety and problem-solving meetings
  • Carry out hazardous materials handling duties as assigned
  • Perform non-certified welding and limited machining
  • Evaluate equipment performance and recommend solutions
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
  • May be required to work overtime

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years of general maintenance mechanic experience
  • Skilled in trades such as plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems

Skills & Abilities:

  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills
  • Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to read blueprints and assembly drawings
  • Familiarity with tools, equipment, and materials used in the mechanic's trade
  • Understanding of building codes is a plus
  • Commitment to teamwork, personal development, and core values
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs occasionally (with assistance)
  • Must be able to work at heights and distinguish all colors
