Role Overview:

The Staff Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations, assist with financial reporting, and contribute to month-end close processes. This role offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and clear growth potential within a dynamic organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
  • Perform variance analysis on income and expense accounts for reasonableness
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts
  • Support accounts payable and receivable functions
  • Help prepare financial reports and assist with audits
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy
  • Strong reporting experience in both SAP and Excel.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience (Level I) or 5+ years (Level II)
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems. Experience with Great Plains accounting software is beneficial
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (vLookup, Pivot Tables, advanced formulas) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
