Junior Recruiter - Irvine, CA (Onsite M-Th and Fridays WFH)

Hourly Rate: $38-$40/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday; 7-4, 8-5, 8:30-5:30

Employment Type: Long-Term Temp (Possible Temp to Hire)

Reports To: Talent Acquisition Manager

Overview:

This newly created role is designed to support the recruiting team with sourcing, administrative coordination, and college/university engagement. The position is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in sourcing, who is eager to grow in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing & Screening:
    • Source candidates for entry-level and niche/hard-to-fill roles using LinkedIn and other creative methods.
    • Conduct phone screens and assess candidate fit before handing off to recruiters.
    • Review resumes for consistency, tenure, and relevant experience.
  • Event Coordination:
    • Research and coordinate college/university job fairs and related events (e.g., STEM, Chamber of Commerce, etc.).
    • Attend events to promote employer branding and build talent pipelines.
      • This is optional, but would be a great opportunity to participate, learn, and grow within the recruiting space.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Provide backup support to the Recruiting Coordinator for tasks such as offer processing and background checks.
    • Collaborate with the recruiting team to manage high-volume hiring (e.g., call center, collections, consumer credit, funding roles, etc.).

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • 3-5 years of experience in a recruiting or sourcing environment, ideally in a high-volume environment.
    • Must have hands-on sourcing experience and be comfortable engaging candidates directly.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree required; Business or HR concentration preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite (Excel and PowerPoint).
    • Familiarity with ATS systems (Taleo experience is a plus).
    • Strong organizational and communication skills.
    • Driven and team-oriented attitude
