Ultimate Staffing is currently seeking a Logistics Specialist to join a client in Fort Worth, Texas. This is a full-time, direct hire role offering a comprehensive benefits package plus 401K. The position is 100% onsite.

The Logistics Coordinator will oversee the daily administrative operations involved in shipment coordination and traffic billing. This role is key to ensuring the seamless execution of international shipments, while also driving process improvements and cost efficiencies.

Job Duties:

  • Manage end-to-end shipment coordination, from order initiation through final delivery.
  • Provide accurate freight cost estimates to customers and Account Managers.
  • Schedule and book shipments with carriers, coordinating pickups and deliveries as required.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with carriers and freight customers.
  • Support cargo claims by preparing documentation, updating customers, and facilitating resolutions.
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies by reviewing historical quotes and accessorial charges.
  • Analyze logistics processes to identify opportunities for cost savings and improved efficiency.
  • Develop and enforce logistics policies, procedures, and SOPs.
  • Negotiate transportation rates and manage contractual agreements with carriers.
  • Create, maintain, and update work instructions and operational documentation.
  • Compile and distribute weekly and monthly logistics performance reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in international logistics, transportation, or customs clearance (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) operations is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with a problem-solving mindset.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills, with the ability to evaluate data and performance metrics.
  • Basic understanding of statistical analysis for process and performance evaluations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with both customers and internal teams.
  • Ability to make informed, timely decisions in a fast-paced environment.
