The Accounting Manager is a key leadership role responsible for the financial health and accuracy of the organization. This individual oversees all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger reconciliation. The Accounting Manager will prepare financial statements, manage audits, ensure compliance with financial regulations and provide strategic financial analysis to senior management.

This is an onsite role M-F with standard working hours. The ideal candidate will have experience in automotive, distribution, wholesale, or car dealerships.
Salary $100-130k based on experience and skills sets
· Directly supervises the accounting team, including accounts payable/receivable clerks and bookkeepers.
· Manage the hiring, training, and performance evaluation of accounting staff.
· Provide guidance and support to the team, ensuring adherence to best practices and company policies.
· Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
· Present financial reports and analysis to dealership management, highlighting key trends and financial performance.
· Assist in the development of the annual budget and monitor performance against it.
· Oversee all day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable.
· Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all accounts are reconciled accurately and on time.
· Supervises the posting of all financial transactions to the general ledger, ensuring proper coding and classification.
· Monitor cash flow and manage the dealership's banking relationships.
· Ensure all financial operations comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and federal, state, and local regulations.
· Act as the primary liaison for all internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
· Develop and maintain internal financial controls to safeguard dealership assets and prevent fraud.
· Manage all aspects of the automotive deal process, ensuring proper documentation and financial accuracy.
· Oversee the reconciliation of floor plan accounts and manages relationships with financial institutions.
· Work with the sales and finance department to resolve any accounting-related issues with vehicle deals.
· Extensive experience in accounting, with a strong background in the automotive industry.
· Proven leadership skills with previous team management experience.
· Expert knowledge of GAAP and other relevant financial regulations.
· Proficiency in using dealership management systems (DMS) and accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Renolds and Reynolds.
· Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills for interpreting financial data and resolving issues.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy to ensure the integrity of financial records.
· Excellent communication skills for presenting financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
