Client in West Los Angeles is seeking Purchasing Manager to work onsite
Location: West Los Angeles, CA

Hours: M-F 8:00am-5:00pm

Job Title: Purchasing Manager
Pay: $25/hr-$30/hr
Duration: 6 month assignment beginning in September (possibility for extension)
Overview:
The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for purchasing raw materials, packaging, private label, lab, and printing items for inventory. This role involves cost accounting analysis, processing and following up on Purchase Orders, supporting sales and customer service, and general administrative duties including word processing and data management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage purchase orders using SBT - Visionpoint 2.0 system, including placing orders, vendor follow-up, and documentation
* Assess purchasing needs based on inventory, department requisitions, and production schedules
* Collaborate with accounting and production teams on cost accounting and inventory analysis using Excel
* Maintain inventory records for finished goods and raw materials; prepare monthly and annual inventory and production reports
* Coordinate with vendors and production/receiving departments to ensure timely delivery of materials
* Handle administrative tasks including correspondence, filing, and database updates
* Maintain compliance with company policies and keep work area organized
Key Skills:
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Proficiency with Excel and Word; experience with inventory or purchasing software a plus
* Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments and vendors
