Field Construction Manager - Electrical & Solar Projects

Midwest Region (Travel Required 80-100%)
Full-Time | $120,000 - $130,000/year


A growing Renewable Energy organization is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead large-scale Electrical and Solar Installation projects across the Midwest. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a strong background in solar field construction and electrical project management.


Quick Recap of the Role:

  • Master or Journeyman Electrical License required (MN preferred, other states considered)
  • Experience managing leaders and field crews
  • Travel up to 80%
  • Background in solar fields/farms (7 MW and up)
  • Candidates should be local to the Midwest area
    • The company is headquartered in the Twin Cities - Minnesota metro area
    • Projects are primarily located in Illinois and surrounding states

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee construction projects from planning through completion
  • Manage crews of 15-20 and site supervisors
  • Handle project budgets of $5M+ and ensure timely, high-quality delivery
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across departments
  • Ensure safety, compliance, and regulatory standards are met
  • Travel extensively to project sites (vehicle, gas card, and credit card provided)

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years as a Foreman or Construction Manager in Electrical or Solar projects
  • Proven experience with $5M+ projects and teams of 10+
  • Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician license
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $120,000 - $130,000 annually
  • Per Diem: $140/day
  • Company Vehicle: Provided for travel between job sites (not for personal use)
