Job Description

We're partnering with a fantastic client in search of a skilled CNC Machinist II to join their team. This is a great opportunity for a dependable, quality-focused machinist who's ready to work in a clean, well-organized, and fast-paced production environment. The CNC Machinist II will set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision components. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to quality and safety standards, and the ability to perform minor machine adjustments. You'll also be expected to support continuous improvement efforts and maintain accurate production records.

Location: Wilmington, MA

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Shift: 1st Shift - Four 10-hour days, Monday-Friday 5:00am - 3:00pm

Pay: $22-$35/hr

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC machines based on blueprints and instructions
  • Make tooling changes and offset adjustments for wear or material differences
  • Perform advanced machining with close tolerances
  • Use precision measurement tools to inspect parts for quality
  • Complete job documentation accurately (job cards, tracking systems)
  • Perform basic maintenance and keep machines in good working order
  • Follow all safety and manufacturing guidelines, including GMP and GDP
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas (5S)
  • Participate in problem-solving and improvement initiatives
  • Meet production and quality targets

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3+ years of CNC machining experience
  • Strong blueprint reading and measurement tool skills
  • Solid math, communication, and computer skills
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Dependable, team-oriented, and safety-conscious

Preferred:

  • Certificate or degree in machining or a related field
  • Experience in a production/manufacturing setting
