Job Description

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Managing employee performance
  • Negotiating with vendors
  • Placing orders
  • Maintaining stock of certain items
  • Working with Shipping & Receiving to locate orders
  • A promising applicant will have good interpersonal skills, be punctual, and be a self-starter.

Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office is a must
  • Familiarity with Superdos OS is a plus
  • 5+ years' experience as a manufacturing buyer or manager is required for consideration
  • Experience buying products for power transmission. (Conveyor components, Electrical components, hydraulic components, etc.)
  • Experience buying tooling for a machine shop (cutting inserts/holders, spare parts for machines used for manufacturing parts)
  • Experience buying Raw Materials
  • Experience managing a purchasing team
