Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Compliance Specialist to join their client's team in Bronx, NY. This role is vital in ensuring that all compliance regulations are met within the organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing certifications, managing move-ins, reconciling monthly rent, and maintaining accurate data entry and file management. Upholding confidentiality and engaging professionally with site managers are key aspects of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Complete certifications for new residents and recertification for all current residents on an annual basis or 60 days prior to move-in date for LIHTC, RD, and HUD.
  • Perform file audits to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Verify in MINC, acceptance of certifications or errors.
  • Work closely with managers to complete all necessary information in a timely manner and receive all required documents at the home office.
  • Maintain and process files as required to maintain program compliance with program funding.
  • Remain current on and compliant with all policies and procedures affecting the leasing of the property and all required certifications.
  • Attend and participate in industry training sessions as needed.
  • Run reports, including EIV, Delinquent Rent, and Management Interactive Network Connection (i.e., MINC).
  • Keep forms and inventory updated.
  • Train Managers on changes and updates.
  • Obtain all certifications or licenses required by the company, state, or agencies within the first year of employment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in Affordable Housing (Required).

Required Work Hours

The position requires working Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Additional Details

The salary range for this position is between $50,000 and $75,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
