Controller

Job Summary:

Ultimate Staffing is partnering with a well-established client to find a strategic and detail-oriented Controller to lead their accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls, with the ability to manage a team and support executive leadership with data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounting operations including A/P, A/R, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial planning processes
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes
  • Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors and tax professionals
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
  • Analyze financial data and provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability
  • Evaluate and improve accounting systems and processes for efficiency and scalability

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred)
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar)
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
