Billing/Accounting Clerk

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing/Accounting Clerk to support our finance department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accurate billing procedures. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
Prepare and issue invoices to customers and clients
Review and verify billing data for accuracy
Maintain and update customer accounts in accounting software
Reconcile billing discrepancies and resolve client inquiries
Post transactions to accounts receivable and general ledger
Assist with month-end closing and financial reporting
Track and follow up on outstanding payments
Maintain organized records of billing and accounting documents
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations
Perform general administrative duties as needed
High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
1-3 years of experience in billing, accounting, or a related role
Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
