Job Description

We are seeking a Senior HR Generalist with deep expertise in employee relations and workplace investigations to join a well established organization in the greater Pasadena, CA area. Pay range: $80-86k annually.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough, objective, and timely investigations into allegations of policy violations, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, misconduct, and other complex employee relations matters.
  • Compile detailed investigation reports, summarize findings, and make recommendations for resolution or corrective actions in alignment with company policy and legal standards.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on employee relations issues; coach and advise managers and employees on conflict resolution, performance management, progressive discipline, and sensitive workplace concerns.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership and legal counsel to develop, update, and enforce company policies and procedures; ensure consistent application across the organization.
  • Partner with Legal and Compliance teams to mitigate organizational risk; provide case support and documentation for potential litigation or external agency complaints (EEOC, DOL, etc.).
  • Deliver or support training initiatives on respectful workplace practices, harassment prevention, investigations protocol, and manager development.
  • Track and analyze employee relations trends to identify systemic issues and recommend process or cultural improvements; contribute to regular reporting to senior leadership.
  • Partner closely with HR Business Partners, Talent Management, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure a fair and aligned approach to workplace practices.
  • Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and integrity throughout all aspects of investigation and employee relations work.
  • Partner with HR leadership in executing talent initiatives such as performance reviews, employee engagement efforts, and organizational development.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a positive and compliant employee experience.
  • Assist in compensation reviews, job description updates, and workforce planning initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field (Master's or JD a plus)
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience with a strong focus on investigations and employee relations
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and objectivity
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and compliance practices in large organizations
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and conflict-resolution skills
