To inspect, repair, replace, adjust, install, wire and maintain electrical and electronic equipment in the plant or
an assigned area, including power transmissions lines, transformers and related equipment. Make mechanical
repairs as required in connection with electrical service.
Core Accountabilities
* Provide regular scheduled electrical and/or emergency repair, installation and inspection work.
* Analyze various circuits and wiring diagrams to modify, service, install or perform repairs, including the
dismantling, inspection, repair and adjustment of equipment.
* Fabricate parts using various machines and hand tools to service electrical and electronic equipment,
including related piping and mechanical components.
* Make repairs to equipment, including generators, control panels, relays, switchboards, circuit breakers, etc.
* Maintains electrical or mechanical instruments.
* Tests, repairs and adjusts electronic scales, spectrometer and various meters.
* Performs electrical repairs on motors, generators, controls, transformers, etc.
* Assists with other maintenance, tests and repairs as needed.
Competencies and Qualifications
* A.S. degree from accredited college or trade school or minimum 4 years of electrical experience.
* Ability to pay close attention to detail.
* Ability to read wiring diagrams and drawings.
* Ability to use various tools, including but not limited to electrical/electronic tools, gauges, calibrating/testing
equipment, hand tools, etc.
* Working knowledge of various mill equipment, including A.C. and D.C. motors, generators, transformers,
electronic controls and regulators, data recording instruments, pumps, fans, etc.
* Ability to work independently with minimal direction or supervision.
* Ability to work safely.
* Ability to pass company electrical worksheet.
* Ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs.
* Ability to walk, squat, sit and crawl throughout the work shift.
* Ability to climb ladders and stairs routinely during the work shift.
* Must be able to complete pre-employment screenings, including but not limited to background check,
