A professional services company is seeking an Accountant with investments and tax experience to assist in the oversight of 500+ clients' books and tax records. Working with families and their closely held companies is the primary focus for this growing company.

Position focuses on investment statement interpretation and offers assistance with tax package preparation around tax deadlines. Position is part of an existing team with similar job descriptions. Work does not include actual tax return preparation.

Responsibilities include setup for new clients, quarterly or semi-annual review of books and financials to ensure proper accounting treatment, preparation of tax packages to collect all relevant data to send to client's CPA for tax return preparation and quarterly estimates. Duties may also include assistance with payroll tax returns and information return reporting. Some overtime is necessary, paid at time-and-a-half, and blackout periods surrounding tax deadlines are observed.

Preferred Qualifications, Experience and Education:
Full time experience concentrating on interpreting and understanding investment statements.
Full time experience in tax preparation, tax return review, and financial statement review functions.
Proficient with QuickBooks, Adobe Acrobat, Excel, Microsoft Word and Outlook.
Payroll reporting and construction accounting preferred.
Knowledge of Time Slips and File-In-Time a plus.
