Position Overview:
The Leasing Consultant supports the Property Manager in daily operations and financial performance, playing a key role in meeting business goals and ensuring compliance. This role reports directly to the Property Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations:
Conduct property inspections and address hazards.
Assist with vendor selection and pricing negotiations.
Handle resident concerns and maintenance issues.
Support application approvals, lease renewals, and rent collection.
Prepare traffic and occupancy reports.
Step in for the Property Manager when needed.
Marketing:
Implement resident retention and marketing plans.
Maintain property presentation (curb appeal, signage, models).
Conduct market surveys.
Team Support:
Report liability and asset loss claims.
Participate in and support team training.
Foster positive relationships with staff, residents, and the public.
Compliance:
Ensure leasing practices align with fair housing laws.
Provide consistent, accurate information to all applicants.
Maintain professional appearance and pursue ongoing development.
Other Duties:
Complete additional tasks as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
1+ year of property management experience preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet tools.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.
Lift/move up to 25 lbs.
