Job Description

Position Overview:
The Leasing Consultant supports the Property Manager in daily operations and financial performance, playing a key role in meeting business goals and ensuring compliance. This role reports directly to the Property Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations:

  • Conduct property inspections and address hazards.

  • Assist with vendor selection and pricing negotiations.

  • Handle resident concerns and maintenance issues.

  • Support application approvals, lease renewals, and rent collection.

  • Prepare traffic and occupancy reports.

  • Step in for the Property Manager when needed.

Marketing:

  • Implement resident retention and marketing plans.

  • Maintain property presentation (curb appeal, signage, models).

  • Conduct market surveys.

Team Support:

  • Report liability and asset loss claims.

  • Participate in and support team training.

  • Foster positive relationships with staff, residents, and the public.

Compliance:

  • Ensure leasing practices align with fair housing laws.

  • Provide consistent, accurate information to all applicants.

  • Maintain professional appearance and pursue ongoing development.

Other Duties:

  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • 1+ year of property management experience preferred.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet tools.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.

  • Lift/move up to 25 lbs.
