We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Welding Operator to join our production team. In this hands-on role, you will perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of sheet metal components, ensuring that all fabricated parts meet blueprint specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong mechanical aptitude, precision, and a commitment to safety and craftsmanship.
Perform MIG welding on sheet metal fabrication parts
Perform TIG welding on aluminum and stainless-steel components
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
Plan and layout welding procedures using measurements and specifications
Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) to verify dimensions
Monitor weld quality and complete required documentation (travelers, reports)
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Execute complex welding projects with minimal supervision
Collaborate with quality and production teams to meet delivery schedules
Lift up to 30 lbs (up to 40 lbs occasionally)
Push and carry materials up to 40 lbs over short distances
Stand/stationed approximately 70% of the time
Walk approximately 10% of the time
Kneel, squat, bend up to 20% as needed
High school diploma or GED
5+ years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment
Certified welder (MIG/TIG)
Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings
Experience using precision measuring tools
Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to work early or late hours, weekends, or overtime as needed
