Senior HR Generalist

We are seeking a skilled Senior HR Generalist to support a variety of Human Resources functions for a growing organization. This role plays a key part in enhancing the employee experience while supporting company-wide HR initiatives. The ideal candidate is highly independent, proactive, and experienced across core HR areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and manage employee benefit programs, including enrollments, leaves of absence, renewals, and compliance reporting.
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are up to date and compliant with state and federal regulations.
  • Lead compliance initiatives such as Affirmative Action, EEO-1, OSHA, and employment-related audits.
  • Support compensation processes including salary benchmarking, job evaluations, and pay structure updates.
  • Maintain the HRIS system and generate reports to support data-driven HR decisions.
  • Partner with managers to review job descriptions and advise on organizational structure.
  • Coordinate employee engagement programs, recognition efforts, and internal events.
  • Provide day-to-day support to employees and managers on HR-related matters and policy interpretation.
  • Contribute to professional development tracking and support wellness initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; HR certification (PHR/SPHR) preferred.
  • 6+ years of progressive HR experience across multiple functional areas.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS systems (Ultimate Software a plus).

  • Pay range: $80-95k/yr.
  • Schedule: Mon - Fri, 8am - 5pm
  • Location: Minneapolis, MN
  • Duration: Contract-to-hire
