Position Overview
Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking a detail-oriented and solutions-driven Systems Analyst to support and enhance technology solutions within a client's mortgage operations. This position is based in Plano, TX, and requires onsite work. The Systems Analyst will play a crucial role in analyzing current systems, identifying gaps or inefficiencies, and implementing improvements that align with business goals-particularly within loan origination, processing, underwriting, closing, and servicing functions.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and document existing mortgage workflows, processes, and systems to identify areas for improvement or automation.
- Serve as a liaison between business users and IT, translating operational needs into system specifications.
- Evaluate and implement mortgage-related software and tools (e.g., Encompass, Mortgage Cadence, Blend).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (processing, underwriting, compliance, and servicing) to design and test system enhancements or integrations.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including system diagrams, user guides, and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, escalating to development or vendor support as needed.
- Conduct training sessions and provide ongoing support to end-users.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state mortgage regulations in system implementations.
- Participate in system upgrades, UAT testing, and data migration projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst, preferably within the mortgage or financial services industry.
- Familiarity with Loan Origination Systems (LOS) such as Encompass, BytePro, or Calyx.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in SQL, Excel, and process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of mortgage compliance regulations and investor guidelines (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA/VA) is a plus.
Preferred
- Experience with automation tools or business intelligence platforms.
- Understanding of Agile or Scrum methodologies.
Required Work Hours
Monday - Friday, onsite in Plano, TX.
Benefits
Temp-to-Hire position with a competitive pay rate of $60-$64 per hour.
