Accountant - Private Client / Investment Focus
Location: On-site | Westlake, TX
Type: Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire
Pay: ~$70,000
A boutique professional services firm is seeking an experienced Accountant to support a high-volume portfolio of private clients. This role involves reviewing investment statements, preparing documentation for CPAs, and maintaining clean, organized financial records.
You'll work closely with a small internal team to ensure accurate reporting and timely coordination with outside tax professionals. While this isn't a tax prep role, familiarity with tax deadlines and support processes is important.
Responsibilities:
Review and interpret investment statements
Prepare tax packages and supporting docs for CPA handoff
Conduct quarterly/semi-annual financial reviews
Assist with new client setup and ongoing recordkeeping
Support occasional payroll tax filings and info returns
Some overtime during tax deadlines (paid at time-and-a-half)
Qualifications:
3+ years of accounting experience
QuickBooks and Excel proficiency
Experience with investment/tax documentation preferred
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Professional, discreet, and dependable
