Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing Services is seeking a Supply Analyst focused on "finished goods inventory" to join a dynamic team in California. This role is crucial in overseeing supply performance for items procured from both overseas and domestic suppliers, ensuring that department objectives are met in terms of purchase, fill rate, back order line, PO aging, and inventory. The position involves planning and control of parts, requiring timely and accurate forecast preparation, ordering, and expediting techniques, all while maintaining customer service standards. The role is long term contract and will pay between $26.13 - $38.55/hr.

Responsibilities

  • Forecast and order assigned "finished goods" to meet corporate fill rate and inventory objectives.
  • Expedite vendor purchase orders to minimize critical inventory and dealer back order situations.
  • Coordinate and oversee initial orders for new model parts to ensure availability at the time of vehicle wholesale.
  • Train and support other analysts to help meet department objectives.
  • Miscellaneous maintenance of part master and purchase order data.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Maintain objectives for fill rate and inventory levels for all assigned parts.
  • Prepare purchase orders regularly, including urgent and special orders to support customer needs.
  • Monitor backorders continuously and expedite with suppliers to achieve highest customer service and fill rate.
  • Maintain purchase order files for accuracy and reconcile with suppliers regularly.
  • Analyze and place initial orders, maintaining a pipeline for sufficient supply.
  • Review and recommend changes to the Master documenet for accuracy and correct supply levels.
  • Identify and recommend modifications to systems to improve inventory planning and customer service.
  • Support ad-hoc requests for analysis and information.

Required Qualifications

Experience Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in quantitative analysis, financial/accounting concepts, and business strategy development.
  • Thorough knowledge of computer applications, including database concepts and ad-hoc reporting tools.
  • Experience with inventory planning is required.
  • Automotive experience is preferred but not required.

Certifications

  • APICS or other supply chain related certifications or affiliations are a plus.

Skills

  • Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including reports and timelines.
  • Flexibility and responsiveness to changing circumstances.
  • Experience with MS Word, PowerPoint, Access, or other SQL preferred.
