Production Expediter / Material Coordinator

Valencia, CA | $25/hour | Full-Time | Direct Hire

Are you experienced in coordinating materials and using equipment to keep production moving efficiently? We're seeking a hands-on Production Expediter / Material Coordinator to join our growing team in Valencia, CA. This is a direct hire opportunity with competitive pay and a stable work environment.

Position Summary:

The Production Expediter will coordinate and expedite the flow of materials and products across departments to meet production and shipping deadlines. This role is both administrative and physical-you'll operate equipment to move materials and work closely with production, inventory, and logistics teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate forklifts or material handling equipment to move products through receiving, storage, and shipping.
  • Review production schedules and prioritize materials for timely delivery to the production floor.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (planning, purchasing, quality, shipping/receiving, inventory) to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Monitor work in progress, inventory levels, and material requirements using MRP systems.
  • Identify and resolve delays or issues impacting on-time delivery.
  • Maintain accurate reports on inventory, progress, and production issues.
  • Assist with data cleanup and maintain system accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of experience in production expediting or inventory/material coordination.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, BOMs, routings, and MRP systems.
  • Forklift or pallet jack experience preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and Word.
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills.
  • Visual Manufacturing experience is a plus.
