HR Generalist

Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic HR Generalist for our customer in Sacramento, CA. The HR Generalist supports a range of Human Resources functions including recruitment, onboarding, records management, and employee relations. Reporting to the HR Director, this role ensures compliance with employment laws and internal policies, handles confidential information with discretion, and may assist with training and guidance of other HR staff.

Pay Rate: $34.00-35.00 hourly

Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for agency-wide positions.
  • Develop recruitment strategies using diverse sourcing channels.
  • Ensure compliance with all hiring regulations.
  • Manage job postings, review applications, and screen candidates.
  • Maintain applicant tracking and recruitment records.
  • Train managers on recruitment, interviewing, and ATS use.
  • Handle recruitment vendor invoices.
  • Prepare job offers and onboarding documents.
  • Maintain personnel files and ensure I-9 compliance.
  • Enter and manage employee data in HR systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • 2-5+ years of HR Generalist experience.
  • Thorough understanding of HR principles, practices, and legal requirements.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
