CNC Mill Operator
Haverhill, MA Temporary $25.00 - $25.00/hr Onsite

Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Mill Machinist to join a growing manufacturing team dedicated to precision work with plastic and aluminum components. This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position offering $25.50/hour and excellent benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC milling machines based on blueprints and technical specifications.
  • Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and workpieces.
  • Optimize machine settings for speed, feed, and material type.
  • Conduct in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Adjust offsets and troubleshoot machining issues to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and team collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 2 years of CNC milling experience, including setup and minor program edits.
  • Strong understanding of blueprints, GD&T, and machining best practices.
  • Proficient with precision measuring instruments.
  • Familiarity with plastic and aluminum materials is a plus.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • 5+ years in CNC milling, preferably in custom manufacturing or a job shop setting.
  • Formal training or certification in CNC machining.
  • Experience with tight-tolerance parts.
  • Knowledge of CAM software such as Mastercam or Fusion 360.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 standards.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and perform repetitive tasks for an 8-hour shift.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and handling small components with precision.
  • Willingness to wear PPE including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise and temperature changes.
