Position Overview:

Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk to join their client's team. This role is essential in ensuring the accurate processing of commissions and the reconciliation of accounts. Experience in the insurance industry is a preffered, as the ideal candidate will manage billing processes and compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Commission Processing: Manage and reconcile direct bill commission statements from insurance carriers, ensuring accurate posting of payments and timely bank deposits.
  • Account Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Data Management: Utilize financial software and spreadsheets to track commissions, analyze financial data, and generate reports.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external carriers to address billing issues, update account information, and streamline billing processes.
  • Compliance: Ensure all billing activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: An associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is often preferred.
  • Experience: Prior experience in direct bill accounting, accounts payable/receivable, or within the insurance industry is advantageous.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial management software are commonly required.
  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational abilities, effective communication skills, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines are essential.
