General Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Office Manager/Benefits Specialist to manage and administer processing and employee benefits programs. This role ensures accurate and timely payroll execution, benefits enrollment and compliance with applicable regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll systems, benefit plans, and employment laws.
Responsibilities
  • Review and validate data including hours worked, bonuses, commissions, deductions, and taxes.
  • Maintain and update records and ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Collaborate with HR and Accounting to ensure payroll transactions are accurate and reconciled.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and resolve discrepancies.
  • Generate and distribute payroll reports as needed.

Benefits Administration:

  • Administer employee benefits programs including health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, and wellness programs.
  • Coordinate open enrollment processes and communicate benefits options to employees.
  • Manage benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations in the HRIS/benefits system.
  • Serve as the liaison between employees and benefits providers to resolve issues and provide support.
  • Ensure compliance with COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, ACA, and other regulatory requirements.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee records and sensitive information.
  • Prepare and file required reports (e.g., W-2s, 1095-Cs, 401(k) contributions).
  • Assist with audits related to payroll and benefits.
