Position Overview
Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Social Work Director to join their client's team in Massachusetts. This role is integral in ensuring compliance with National Social Service standards and fostering the development of social ministries staff and programs.
Responsibilities
General Responsibilities
- Seek to ensure that all locations are in compliance with the National Social Service standards.
- Work closely with managers in the selection and development of social ministries staff and programs.
- Collect and review monthly program statistics.
- Advocate on behalf of the organization and clientele to elected and administrative public officials.
- Ensure client services are conducted within the guidelines of the organization's policies.
- Supervise professional and clerical staff of the department.
- Facilitate employee development of goals and objectives on an annual basis.
- Maintain current profiles of all programs in the Division, including social service programs, employee credentials, budget/grant information, statistical profile, and other pertinent information.
- Develop and monitor department budgets.
- Develop relationships with other Social Services professionals in Massachusetts.
- Remain up to date with KeepSAfe training and ensure all personnel are up to date as well.
- Perform other related duties as needed.
- Conduct approximately five (5) audits per year of programs.
- Hold an annual social service conference for staff organized by the DSMD.
- Ensure that workshops address a variety of topics including ethics, supervision, de-escalation, cultural competency, and trauma-informed care.
- Manage all aspects of Territorial and National Grants in conjunction with the Advancement Department.
- Oversee programs such as Emergency Food & Shelter Program (EFSP), Food Bank, Utility/Housing Assistance, Territorial Grants, FEMA, CCFA, DOE/CACFP, etc.
- Supervise the Education Coordinator.
- Review monthly summaries of all licensed programs provided by the Education Coordinator.
- Present monthly summaries of all programs to CFC.
Qualifications
Education Requirements
- Master's Degree required in Social Work.
- Licensed Social Worker preferred.
Work Experience
- At least 7 years of progressive management in social services with experience managing multiple programs, licensed childcare programs, and shelter programs.
Required Work Hours
In-Office Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with some nights and weekends required.
Must be able to travel to different sites in the state of Massachusetts.
Benefits
Pay: $96,000 - $113,000 depending on experience.
