Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Administrative Assistant to support an operations. This individual will be the main point of contact at the Palmdale location, working independently to manage day-to-day administrative functions and support union members, business representatives, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day office operations independently with minimal supervision
  • Handle phones, emails, mail, office supplies, and package deliveries
  • Support union members with applications, dues processing, and general inquiries
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation
  • Prepare and manage weekly and monthly reports using Microsoft Excel
  • Reconcile accounting and reporting data; manage petty cash
  • Assist with new member onboarding and applications
  • Maintain a clean and organized office space, including kitchen area
  • Coordinate Zoom meetings and manage basic technology functions (browser, docking stations, etc.)
  • Provide support for annual and semi-annual projects, including dues calculation and company communications
  • Potential involvement in travel planning for conferences (held every 4 years)

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Strong multitasking and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Professional demeanor, with the ability to interact with executives from companies such as Lockheed Martin
  • Advanced Microsoft Suite & tech savy
  • Comfortable working alone for extended periods; must be self-sufficient
  • Experience with ADP or payroll is a plus (not required)
  • Paralegal background or knowledge is a plus
  • Familiarity with shared drives and basic tech troubleshooting

Experience level-3-5 years

Education- BA preferred but not required

Payrate- $23-26hr once perm $32hr

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8-5pm (must be flexible to come in early for meetings/events)
