Position Overview
Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their client's team in California. This full-time position offers a great opportunity for individuals with mechanical experience, particularly in the food or dairy industry. The role involves maintaining machinery, handling chemicals, and ensuring the production of safe, quality food products.
Responsibilities
- Maintain various types of fluid packaging machinery in a food plant environment, including related auxiliary machinery.
- Handle chemicals for support equipment operation. Conduct chemical testing of boiler feed water, condenser, cooling tower water, food-grade glycol, and plant process water.
- Fabricate and manufacture equipment for production needs: product and process piping, sanitary equipment, steam lines, chemical lines, pneumatic lines, etc.
- Work overtime as needed.
- Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe, quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements.
- Assist with additional maintenance tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Proficient in reading and writing English.
- Proven mechanical experience is required.
- Previous maintenance tech/mechanic experience in the food or dairy industry is preferred.
- Motivated, "go-getter" attitude.
Required Work Hours
Monday to Friday, second shift.

Additional Details
- Salary: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour.
- Physical Requirements: Continuous standing, walking, talking, and hearing; frequent use of hands and arms; occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs; specific vision abilities required.
