Bookkeeper

Location: Austin Metroplex (On-site)
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire and Direct Hire Opportunities
Schedule: Monday to Friday, standard business hours
Pay Rate: $20 - $25 per hour (based on experience)

Job Summary:

We are actively hiring Bookkeepers for multiple growing businesses throughout the Austin Metroplex. These on-site roles offer both contract-to-hire and direct hire opportunities, providing a path to long-term employment for candidates with strong accounting and organizational skills. The ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, dependable, and able to manage day-to-day financial tasks with accuracy.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Record and reconcile financial transactions in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar)

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable

  • Prepare and process invoices, payments, and payroll as needed

  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements

  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting

  • Maintain general ledger and support journal entries

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations

  • Organize and maintain financial records and documentation

  • Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal teams as needed


Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of bookkeeping or general accounting experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks strongly preferred)

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (but not required)
