Human Resources Specialist
Location: Round Rock, TX (On-site)

Schedule: Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: $30/hour
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented HR Specialist to support the Human Resources function at a well-established mechanical services company in Round Rock, TX. This on-site, temp-to-hire role plays a key part in maintaining HR operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting employees across departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of HR systems, especially ADP Workforce Now.
Maintain accurate employee records and manage data in ADP Workforce Now
Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire paperwork and exit procedures
Administer employee benefits and assist with open enrollment and related communications
Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, and procedures
Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and company policies
Assist with payroll preparation and processing by providing necessary employee updates
Track time-off requests, FMLA, and other leave programs
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information
Provide support to the HR Manager and leadership team as needed
2+ years of HR experience, preferably in an HR Specialist or similar role
Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now is required
Strong understanding of HR functions and best practices
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, on-site environment
High level of confidentiality and professionalism
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
