Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join their client's team in the SW Houston area (Fort Bend County). This role requires an individual who has 5-10 years as a paralegal and strong litigation experience. Experience with eminent domain cases is a plus!

You will play a critical role in both prelitigation and litigation processes, working closely with attorneys and clients to ensure the highest quality of service and compliance with legal standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage new client files, calendar deadlines, and assist staff/attorneys in compliance with deadlines.
  • Deliver high-quality services to the firm's clients.
  • Prepare and assemble materials for hearings.
  • Work with appraisers and prepare clients for hearings with the assigned attorney.
  • Monitor for award filing and prepare and serve objections.
  • Prepare and file motions as needed.
  • Prepare and send discovery on behalf of clients and respond to discovery from opposing counsel.
  • Schedule and prepare drafts of mediation memoranda.
  • Draft settlement letters and other correspondence.
  • Prepare exhibits, witness lists, and testimony outlines.

Work Hours

Onsite Monday through Friday 8am-5pm

Additional Details

Salary range: $50,000 - $75,000 per year depending on experience
