Details:

  • Salary range: $65K - $75K annually depending on experience level
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (30-minute lunch)
  • Location: St. Paul, MN (Newport area)- flexible with days in office (ask Recruiter for details but must live in Minnesota)
  • Type: Direct hire with full benefits

Job Duties:

HRIS System Administration:

  • Oversee the implementation of new HRIS platforms or upgrades to existing systems, such as ADP Workforce Now.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for HRIS-related issues, ensuring smooth operation for all users.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate HR processes, including onboarding, benefits enrollment, payroll, and time tracking.
  • Design and implement efficient automated workflows and procedures to enhance HR operations.
  • Coordinate system integrations between the HRIS and other business platforms, such as payroll and accounting systems.
  • Conduct regular audits and quality checks to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Generate and analyze reports to provide insights for strategic HR decision-making.

Benefits Administration:

  • Design and manage competitive benefits packages that align with organizational goals and employee needs.
  • Research and evaluate new benefit options to ensure the company remains competitive in the market.
  • Negotiate with benefit providers to secure optimal terms and pricing for plans.
  • Stay informed about federal and state regulations related to employee benefits to ensure compliance.
  • Oversee audits and reporting for benefit plans, maintaining adherence to all legal requirements.
  • Support compensation-related programs as needed.

Enrollment and Administration:

  • Process employee benefit enrollments, updates, and claims accurately and efficiently.
  • Serve as a resource for employees, providing guidance and answering questions about benefit options.
  • Manage all aspects of the open enrollment process, including communications and support.

HR Support:

  • Address employee inquiries related to HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Assist with onboarding processes for new full-time employees, ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Lead the Wellness Committee, promoting employee well-being and engagement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of combined experience in HRIS administration and benefits management (working as the sole benefits person on a team)
  • Expert proficiency in HRIS systems, such as ADP Workforce Now or other databased programs like MS Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in data analysis, problem-solving, and process improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state regulations governing health, retirement, FMLA, and other employee benefits.
  • Proficiency in Spanish and/or Korean a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information effectively to various audiences.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues across different departments.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and improvement, with a desire to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • HRCI , SHRM or CEBS certifications (preferred)
  • Experience administering compensation programs a plus
