Job Title: Dispatcher

Job Overview: We are looking for a reliable and organized Dispatcher to join our team. The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling the movement of vehicles, goods, or personnel, ensuring timely and efficient delivery or service. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a focus on problem-solving in fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and dispatch vehicles, drivers, or service personnel to assigned locations based on customer requests or company needs.
  • Monitor vehicle or personnel locations in real-time using GPS or other tracking tools.
  • Communicate with drivers or field personnel to provide updates, instructions, and resolve any issues.
  • Prioritize and manage dispatches based on urgency, location, and availability of resources.
  • Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including delivery times, customer interactions, and service completion.
  • Coordinate with other departments (e.g., customer service, warehouse) to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure that all necessary permits, licenses, and equipment are in compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Respond to emergencies or service delays promptly, finding solutions to minimize disruption.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing concerns or complaints regarding service or delivery schedules.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators such as on-time delivery rates, fuel consumption, and route efficiency.
  • Assist with route planning and optimizing delivery or service schedules.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree or relevant certification preferred).
  • Previous experience in a dispatch/customer service or logistics role is a preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Familiarity with GPS tracking systems, dispatch software, and office tools such as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
