Career Mobility Advisor

Organization Overview: We are dedicated to empowering women by providing education, resources, and support to foster personal transformation and financial self-sufficiency. Our comprehensive services, offered at the Women's Resource Center in downtown Phoenix, include career readiness, family law support, social work services, domestic violence support, mentoring programs, computer training, scholarship funding, health & wellness classes, and job placement support.

Job Summary: The Career Mobility Advisor will play a pivotal role in both student recruitment and career service support. This position requires a proactive, flexible, and innovative approach to achieve enrollment goals and support women on career paths leading to self-sufficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement:

  1. Conduct outreach through phone, email, ZOOM, and other platforms to follow-up with prospective career and education leads, clients interested in career empowerment, and to attract motivated clients into our Career and Education programming.
  2. Provide detailed information about career exploration workshops, career training opportunities, job placement support and encourage participation in the Impact Program to achieve self-sufficiency and success.

Student Enrollment Support:

  1. Act as the primary contact for prospective career and education leads., offering personalized support as clients determine their career journey with us.
  2. Demonstrate a strong customer service background, delivering exceptional service to all prospective students.
  3. Address inquiries, concerns, and challenges promptly and professionally.
  4. Assess and place clients into career tracks, connecting them to training funds, employment, or scholarships.
  5. Collaborate with the Career Mobility Team for a seamless transition from career mobility session to immediate career assistance or into a career training program.
  6. Continued follow-up with career referrals to ensure execution of career program pathways.

Program Management:

  1. Onboard clients to the career workshop programming and identify individualized learning pathways.
  2. Ensure consistency and quality in service delivery.
  3. Engage in continuous quality improvement and respond proactively to feedback and recommendations.

Qualifications:

  1. Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  2. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a customer service position. Phone-intensive experience a plus.
  3. Familiarity with any of the following is a plus: career advising, talent acquisition, workforce job placement, and the higher education industry.
  4. Demonstrated track record of achieving or surpassing set goals.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Ability to articulate information about career mobility and organizational offerings clearly and persuasively.
  7. Genuine passion for providing outstanding customer service and supporting students on their educational journey.
  8. A self-motivated individual who thrives in a target-driven environment.
  9. Flexible and resourceful, capable of adapting to evolving recruitment needs of the career mobility team.
  10. Ability to think outside the box to attract diverse and qualified clients to actively engage in career mobility programming.
  11. Competent in MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. CRM experience a plus - HubSpot preferred.
  12. Ability to work with diverse populations.
