General Purchasing Analyst
- Location: Fountain Valley, CA Hybrid: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote)
- Pay Rate: $32 - $36 per hour
- Schedule: M-F, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced General Purchasing Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will manage the procurement process, assist with pricing reviews and supplier negotiations, and ensure efficient purchasing operations. You will also help maintain positive supplier relationships, track cost savings, and support internal teams with purchasing systems and processes.Key Responsibilities:Procurement & Purchasing Management (65%)Manage the Request for Quote (RFQ) process and conduct pricing reviews and negotiations.Analyze supplier quotes and ensure they align with benchmarks.Track costs, savings, delivery quotes, and agreements.Create and process Purchase Orders in the SAP system.Support internal teams with SAP usage and streamline the purchasing process.Assist new locations with purchasing procedures and SAP training.Supplier & Contract Management (10%)Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.Assist with contract renewals and ensuring up-to-date Certificates of Insurance (COI).Business Support & General Affairs (25%)Assist with sourcing suppliers, developing product specifications, and negotiating terms.Support event purchases and collaborate with the General Affairs team on tasks such as asset audits and event planning.Additional ResponsibilitiesIdentify opportunities for cost savings and negotiate favorable pricing agreements.Provide guidance on purchasing procedures and SAP usage to internal stakeholders.Work with the Finance Department on vendor management and invoice processes.Maintain accurate tracking systems for purchasing and supplier performance. Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.2-4 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.Proficiency in SAP or similar procurement tools.Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
