Job Description

The Shift Supervisor oversees the Sheet Metal, Paint Line, and Parts Department operations to ensure quality, safety, and productivity, aligning with company and customer standards. This role has 15-20 direct reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies and ISO QMS standards. Maintain safety, cleanliness, and training documentation. Resolve CPDs and uphold safety protocols.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive ongoing improvements in processes, cost efficiency, and cross-training. Stay updated on new technologies and equipment. Lead team training and improvement initiatives.
  • Leadership: Mentor team members, promote collaboration, and support personal growth. Manage attendance, timecards, and shift schedules. Provide performance feedback and conduct reviews.
  • Customer Service: Provide timely support for production needs. Collaborate with other supervisors to coordinate activities. Manage staff assignments, training, and hiring as needed. Improve efficiency and ensure tasks meet company standards.

Requirements:

  • 1-5 years of supervisory experience within a manufacturing setting - relevant sheet metal, paint line, and/or parts experience would be a bonus!
  • Experience leading others over multiple shifts preferred. (1st and 2nd)
  • Lean manufacturing, 5S, fishbone diagram, Six Sigma training would be beneficial
  • Strong communication, people, and leadership skills
  • Awareness of and willingness to follow/implement Lean Manufacturing practices
  • Ability to effectively resolve problems with both people and processes

Additional Info:

  • Pay range: $60-70K + 10% annual discretionary bonus
  • Schedule: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm Monday - Thursday and 7:00am - 3:00 pm Friday
  • Location: 100% in office
  • Type: Direct hire w/ FULL benefits
