Job Description

We are seeking a Business Development Manager for a client in Houston, Texas.

Position Overview:

As a Senior Logistics Consultant or Regional Logistics Manager, you will manage the full sales lifecycle, engaging in detailed discovery conversations and informative meetings to identify the needs of prospective clients. Your role as a trusted advisor will focus on their freight forwarding requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

· Seek out and establish a book of business through prospecting and networking, utilizing cold calling, electronic media, seminars, trade shows, and in-person presentations.

· Present company service offerings, including Ocean Import/Export, Air Import/Export, Distribution & Warehousing, Trucking, Cargo Insurance, and Customs Brokerage.

· Meet monthly revenue quotas set by Sales management.

· Collaborate with CRM Specialists to enhance sales presence in the local market.

· Maintain communication with internal teams and overseas offices.

· Travel locally to meet with clients and conduct presentations.

Requirements:

· Minimum 3 years of experience directly selling Ocean and/or Air services within a freight forwarding environment.

· Previous experience with the ERP system, CargoWise One, is preferred.

· Ability to work independently and with limited supervision.

· Solid understanding of local territory and market opportunities.

· High emotional intelligence, personal integrity, and a hunter mentality.

· Willingness to travel locally for client meetings.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.

Salary:

$80,000 - $120,000 annual base salary + uncapped sales commission (Base salary dependent on industry and sales experience). This is a full-time, direct hire position. This is an in office position.

Education:
