POSITION SUMMARY
The Pre-weigh is responsible for ensuring materials are available for compounding and in the proper amount. Weighing out raw materials and mixing them in appropriate mixing vessels in the order and amounts listed on the batch ticket.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Pre-Weigh will include, but are not limited to the following:
· Combines specific raw materials into processing vessels and mixes them according to the instructions.
· Accurately weighs and records amounts and #'s of specified raw materials.
· Submits finished product samples and necessary paperwork to the Q.C. lab for testing.
· Transfers finished product from the processing vessel to a holding vessel.
· Cleaning work area and prepares for the next batch to be made.
· Submits finished batch to Compounding Supervisor/Manager for review.
· Labeling all weighted materials.
· Report any material shortages.
· Verifies accuracy of other Compounders' work.
· Perform duties in compliance with company safety rules, SOP's and GMP's.
Documentation:
· Documenting processes and procedures.
· Recording corrected drum and raw material quantities.
QUALIFICATIONS
· A high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.), may include vocational courses.
· Experience in liquid processing facility.
· Two years of manufacturing Chemical Compounding /Batching Experience.
· Strong understanding of weight and measurement conversion.
· Ability to do basic math, which includes addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and percentages.
· Ability to communicate well and handle conflict in a mature and professional manner.
· Ability to organize and work efficiently in a multi task environment.
· Flexible and able to quickly adapt in a changing environment.
· Flexible and can work in a fast-paced environment
