We are searching for a Senior Human Resources Generalist Consultant oversees compliance with federal and state regulations for both the Distribution Center and corporate personnel. Responsibilities include managing company-wide Employee Relations programs, investigating complaints, and staying updated on HR, Payroll, Workers Compensation, Safety, and Security regulations. This role also collaborates with Worker's Compensation, Safety, and Security administrators.
Location: Auburndale, FL 33823Pay: $40-$42 an hourHours: On-site hours need to overlap 1st and 2nd shiftAssessment: Microsoft Suite Required Responsibilities:Investigate employees' complaints and review warehouse management disciplinary Action Notice ("DAN") based on the result of the investigation (if required) and monitor federal/state laws/regulations and HR operationPartner with warehouse managers and employees to resolve employee relations issues through coaching, counseling, investigations, and conflict resolutionWork closely with ER corporate HQ personnel and Manager to ensure the smooth handling of ER related mattersCo-Manage warehouse ER ProgramsAdministering company-wide safety programs, training, and reinforcing IIPPAssist with Safety audits as necessaryAssist with responding to general questions in regards to safety/ WC·Act as liaison between management and HQ team to ensure communication gaps are eliminatedUnderstand, monitor, and apply any relevant state/Federal regulations regarding HR, Workers' compensation, Safety, Security, and Employment best practices.Work closely with the Safety and Workers' compensation Supervisor to ensure smooth implementation and handling of Safety/WC-related matters.Work Schedule & Travel RequirementsOn-site hours need to overlap 1st and 2nd shiftEducational RequirementsBachelor's Degree in HR or equivalent; a combination of work experience and education will be consideredA Master's Degree is preferred but not requiredPHR certification is preferred but not requiredExperience Requirements5+ years Human Resources - Industrial Relations Specialist Required5 to 10 years of progressive experience in HR as Generalist or HRBP of Employee Relations,Experience in job analysis, Employee Relations, and HRAdministration of multi-state programs for exempt and non-exempt Experience with international knowledge desired.HR Planning & AnalysisKnowledge of ERISA, COBRA, and HIPPA regulationExcellent verbal and written communication skills, strong presentation, project, and organizational skills.Self-starter takes initiative and can research or benchmark to find best practices.Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, HRIS, Budgeting, Payroll systems, SAP, Ability to program spreadsheets, etc.Influence and Change Management; guide changes in the organizationAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
