Job Description

Document Specialist is responsible for managing and processing post-closing documents, including requesting title policies and certified copies of recorded deeds of trust from title companies. This role ensures that all necessary documents are delivered to investors by the required due dates and coordinates with the county for re-recording when necessary.

Responsabilities:

    • Follow up on outstanding document reports, such as ALTA/Security Instruments, from Title/Escrow companies via email.
    • Request and follow up on re-recording of Security Instruments from Title/Escrow companies.
    • Scan all final documents into the BLITZ document management system.
    • Sort final documents by investor and in alphabetical order.
    • Log in/out final documents and ensure they are sent to the appropriate investor.
    • Request checks to be sent to the appropriate County Recorder for re-recording Security Instruments, County Certified documents, and Assignment out of MERS.
    • Send copies or original Security Instruments to Pingora and DMI/Loan Care for paid-off loans.
    • Send out paper E-disclosures and Appraisals as required.
    • Conduct audits on recording fees to ensure accuracy and compliance.
